An AI world-first: an immersive, interactive live-video conversational AI let busy shoppers chat with TV dinosaur Trevor to create a dream Christmas gift list.

Challenge

Grab attention at the busiest time of the year and solve a common problem for busy shoppers - what to get??

Solution

An iconic red giftbox houses Trevor’s Dreamworld, a twinkly, cloud-filled recreation of the ATL Ad campaign. Inside, an AI-powered video chatbot, voiced by TV’s Charlie Cooper, brings Trevor to life. A fully interactive, responsive character who cracks jokes, asks questions and creates a personalised gift list for each shopper, based on multiple parameters - hobbies, age, budget and more - all available to click & collect. And because Christmas is about giving and receiving, he surprised each visitor with a Trevor plushie toy…and a lucky few with a coveted Red Ticket, which meant £100 to spend with Argos!

Trevor welcomed 600+ shoppers in just one day, and our striking visual presence (a full retail unit wrap) and hyper-local OOH meant visibility/awareness for 100k+, plus thousands enjoyed the content on YouTube.
